Mechanism of action
Antagonizing the effects of Ang II: inhibiting the binding of Ang II to the AT1 receptor, thereby reducing oxidative stress, inflammation, and fibrosis.
NO/cGMP pathway: Activates endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS), increases nitric oxide (NO) release, and leads to vasodilation.
Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects: Inhibits the NF-κB pathway, reducing the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines (such as TNF-α and IL-6) and reactive oxygen species (ROS).
