2. Feature Introduction

Mechanism of action

T-cell differentiation and maturation: By activating thymic cells and peripheral T cells, it promotes the balance between CD4+ (helper T cells) and CD8+ (cytotoxic T cells) subsets.

Cytokine regulation: Enhances the secretion of Th1-type cytokines such as IL-2 and IFN-γ, while suppressing excessive Th2 responses (e.g., IL-4).

Neuroendocrine regulation: May indirectly influence immune function via the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis.

Physiological and pharmacological effects
Enhanced Immune Function: Boosts T-cell function in patients with immune deficiencies (such as those following chemotherapy or experiencing age-related immune decline); supports immune reconstitution after viral infections (e.g., hepatitis B, HIV) and after cancer radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Anti-inflammatory and Autoimmune Regulation: Demonstrates bidirectional regulatory effects (inhibiting excessive autoimmune responses) in models of rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).

Other potential effects: antioxidant stress (reducing ROS), and promotion of wound healing (via the VEGF pathway).
