2. Feature Introduction
Mechanism of action
Stem cell protection: Inhibiting apoptosis of hematopoietic stem cells and maintaining homeostasis of the bone marrow microenvironment (by regulating p53 and Bcl-2 family proteins).
Anti-fibrotic: Blocking the TGF-β/Smad signaling pathway to reduce collagen deposition (in pulmonary, renal, and hepatic fibrosis models).
Anti-inflammatory and Immunomodulatory Effects: Inhibits NF-κB activation and reduces the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-6 and TNF-α.
Vascular protection: Promotes endothelial cell survival and inhibits vascular calcification.
Physiological and pharmacological effects
Hematopoietic System Protection: Alleviates bone marrow suppression induced by chemotherapy or radiotherapy and accelerates the regeneration of blood cells; preclinical studies for aplastic anemia and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS).
Anti-organ fibrosis:
Pulmonary fibrosis: Inhibits fibroblast activation and reduces pulmonary collagen accumulation (IPF model).
Renal fibrosis: Slows the progression of diabetic nephropathy or chronic kidney disease.
Liver fibrosis: Reduction in markers of hepatic stellate cell activation (α-SMA, TIMP-1).
Cardiovascular protection: Reduces the formation of atherosclerotic plaques and inhibits myocardial fibrosis.
Antitumor adjuvant: Enhances the sensitivity of cancer cells to chemotherapy drugs while protecting normal tissues.
